Acadia Proposal In Rain – Plan B

We pride ourselves as being the best Acadia proposal photographers because of our knowledge of the island (we are locals!) Knowing great Plan B options for any weather is part of what sets us apart. Often that might involve using private land (we know a few people!) However, after years of photographing surprise proposals in

Acadia National Park Sunrise Photo Session

We met Isabelle & Noah in Acadia on their 2nd wedding anniversary, and photographed them at sunrise, rock climbing on Otter Cliffs. But as is sometimes the case with the island, as a result of thick fog the sun was blocked out until late morning. So we were excited for the second chance to wake up in the dark with them, down a few cups of coffee, and head in to the park for an adventure filled Acadia sunrise photo session!

Finding Your Private Proposal Spot in Acadia National Park

Finding a private proposal spot in Acadia National Park can be a real challenge. For years this spot was our family sunset location. We would scoot up here after dinner, armed with fleecy layers and flashlight, for the show. The beauty is that we always have this spot to ourselves. For decades. We’ve seen evenings where the water is completely still and reflecting orange and red. And we’ve seen stormy seas with skies moodier than our worst hangry moments.

Surprise Acadia National Park Proposal Location Bar Harbor Maine

Our list of the best Acadia National Park proposal locations isn’t one you will find in a guide book. And it’s probably not one you could get by asking a Park Ranger, or even the bartender at Side Street Cafe. Christian found this out quickly. He called looking for photographers for the surprise sunrise proposal he was planning.

Maine Seacoast Wedding Venue Hidden Pond

Hidden Pond, this southern Maine seacoast wedding venue is definitely one of our favorites. It’s a total hidden gem of a resort in a wooded enclave in Kennebunkport near the ocean. Dana, having grown up in Haverhill is all about the seacoast region. Mike, while from Michigan, takes every opportunity to be in the water, wether in a wet suit or on a boat.

Ben & Loie, Cliff Island, Casco Bay, ME

This Cliff Island wedding has all the makings of a modern day fairytale. Cliff Island is one of thousands of islands off Maine’s coast, so it’s no wonder we almost boarded the wrong water taxi! Loie had arranged for our ride to the island on a water taxi from the main land. We felt a bit like tourists enjoying the ride out of Portland and the views of Casco Bay as we enjoyed the life of Maine wedding photographers.
