We love exploring and visiting new (to us) wedding vendors that we can fall in love with. New England Barn wedding venues are one of our favorites and it was an absolute joy to visit Moody Mountain Farm on such a gorgeous Spring day! Located in the heart of the New Hampshire Lakes Region, just outside of Wolfeboro, Moody Mt Farm is authentically rustic, with a charm we can only call perfect New England.
Couples are encouraged to be creative and construct the wedding of their dreams choosing from multiple ceremony location. The owners Julie and Perrin are super sweet, relaxed and compassionate people who are happy to accommodate. They’ve been know to carve a ceremony location out of the fields surrounded by wildflowers upon request! The farm has been in the family for seven generations, so it goes without saying that these two are passionate about the property. Their love shows through in every detail, from the old pump they converted for wedding party drinking water to the restored milking stalls. And in turn, guests add to the charm by building shelving within the stalls for bartending and beautifully decorated signs.
The property is incredibly secluded with mountain views. Under conservation, the fields are still used for agriculture, farmed by a neighbor. Book this place, and you really have it to yourselves!
The farmhouse can accommodate ten people for the weekend, allowing couples the ability to do everything on location from DIY setup to Sunday brunch. And the greatest part? (according to us!)
You can bring your best friend!!!! And trust me, your pup will love this dog friendly wedding venue! Kula did, and we can’t thank Julie and Perrin enough for allowing her to run circles around everything!
The barn can accommodate 150 guests, with plenty of options for a band, caterer, rustic tables and lanterns. An original 19th century structure, you won’t believe how clean it is inside! Growing up on a farm, I can attest that it doesn’t smell like a barn. At all. So, get the official rustic look without the aroma! Perrin and Julie have updated the barn with great lighting, and safety-proofed everything (no getting high heels stuck in between floorboards!)
With a shed for toilets, and plenty of field space available for a tent, the options are unlimited!
