Many believe the path to love is the greatest adventure. Isabelle and Noah totally prove that the wedding is only just the beginning! Married two years ago, they were in Bar Harbor for a friend’s wedding. With each friend who gets married outside of their New York City home base they create a mini-vacation. Filling extra time with outdoor activity, sight seeing, road tripping, and good eats. So they were happy to fill a short notice vacancy for our Acadia engagement photos session.

Surprise! For their two year wedding anniversary we teamed up for a sunrise photo session alongside Acadia Mountain Guides for a truly epic Acadia National Park experience. And we’re pretty sure their friends are going to be envious of this one!

Our tour guide, Dick was awesome despite the fact it was 5am and the sun was no where to be seen! We chalked it up to being typical Maine Coast weather and kept the energy high.  They revisited all the basics before Noah’s rappel down Otter Cliffs while Isabelle cheered from atop.

Noah works in the financial world and despite our busting out Office Space references, he proved to be no more a victim of the 9-5 monotony than we are! With an eagerness to venture outdoors every possible second, learn, smile and be in constant motion. Rock climbing presented less of a challenge than finding a parking space in Bar Harbor (okay, actually it was far easier!)

Isabelle is from Luxembourg (admittedly, we hit Google Maps for that one) and came across the pond for Hamilton College where she met Noah. She now works for a start up in the distribution software industry (yeah, she lost us on this one!) But essentially, she is pro-efficiency, environment and changing industry abilities to accommodate for such. But to us, she is just an amazingly sweet, intelligent bundle of hugable kindness!

Oh, and she is fierce on the rocks! After warm up climbs, senior guide John, joined us for their tandem climb! Barely being 7am, we had the entire coastline to ourselves, fog rolling by with no promise of lifting. The waves crashing on rocks below with a calm echo and Sand Beach virtually invisible.

On our final climb, we decided to have a bit more fun with Noah and Isabelle climbing together while we harnessed up and joined them! There may have been an over-eager Instagram and Snapchat post from mid-climb, before realizing most of our friends were not awake yet!

While the experience was invigorating, life affirming and made us completely forget about wanting that morning coffee, our favorite part was the connections made. John and Dick were superb guides, with no shortage of jokes, agreement to let us try most anything (within reason!) and total happiness to be with us. Noah and Isabelle have touched our lives in a way that has us passionately in love with our jobs. Plans are already in the works for a NYC visit (no sky scrapers will be climbed though!)
