Michael and Tyler knew how to adventure! From Philadelphia, they arrived in Bar Harbor looking to make the most of peak foliage. Since this wasn’t a proposal, we had a bit more flexibility. So, we kept an eye on the trees, and adjusted the location as necessary. Landing us in the middle of yellows, oranges and reds within the park.
And, the best part? Having the location all to ourselves! We won’t share the location of this hidden gem out of superstition. But, it’s a winner each time.
With sun set feeling super early this time of year, it was an afternoon session. Allowing for a celebratory dinner reservation afterwards. From there, Michael and Tyler drove back home to begin planning their elopement in Italy.
While we were super honored at their asking us to continue on as their photographers, we were sadly unavailable. But, a peak foliage engagement session in Acadia is just as amazing. Right?
Let us help you plan your own Acadia engagement session:
It really is our favorite place on the planet and certainly one of the top National Parks in the country! Our process for Acadia engagement sessions starts with getting to know you and understanding what your vision of the event is. We’ll then work with you to find the best location and time of day for photos in Acadia and work with you in any way we can to help with the remainder of your visit on island.
If an Acadia engagement session on Cadillac Mountain at sunrise is what speaks to you, then we’re all for helping you plan it. But often this idea has less to do with personal connection and more to do with not having a strong familiarity with the park. Kate has been visiting Acadia every year since she was a child and introduced Keith when they shot their first wedding together there. We now spend the majority of the year exploring the park while we stay at our family’s home in Somesville. A Covid-escape-turned-fulltime. It is with this passion and knowledge of the park that we can find the perfect place for your engagement session in Acadia National Park and be there with you to photograph a chapter in your wedding story.
We intentionally don’t give out too many of our secrets here for the benefit of our couples. If you’re interested in working with us to photograph your fall engagement session in Acadia we’d love to chat with you! Let’s start making plans! Contact us now!
